How earnr works
Last updated: 10 September 2026
earnr finds cashback in the shopping you’d do anyway. You keep your bank and your card, you pay the way you always have, and the cashback follows the transaction. There are no codes to enter, no receipts to keep and no links to click first.
Connect your bank
Cashback starts when you turn it on and connect the account you spend from. That connection is made through regulated Open Banking, and it is read-only: we can see your transactions, we cannot move money out of your account, and we never see your banking login.
Open Banking access lasts 90 days at a time. We’ll ask you to renew it before it runs out, and you can withdraw it whenever you like.
We match offers to where you already shop
Your transactions are matched against the retailers we have cashback deals with. That means the offers you see are the ones you can actually use — the shops already in your spending, rather than a catalogue to browse. Offers and rates change, and what’s live is always shown in the app.
Cashback tracks automatically
When you buy from a retailer with a live offer, we recognise the purchase from the transaction data and the cashback is added for you. Nothing to remember at the till, no new card, no switching banks.
Pending, then available
New cashback shows as pending while the retailer settles the purchase — roughly 30 days. Once it has settled, it moves to available, which is the part you can take out. Cashback can be reversed if you return the item or the order is cancelled.
Getting paid
Available cashback is withdrawn to your own UK bank account by Faster Payments, usually landing within minutes. The minimum withdrawal is £5.
Earni, if you’d rather ask
Earni is earnr’s assistant. He’s on the website and on WhatsApp, and he answers from your own account: what you’ve earned, what’s pending, where the offers are and how any of this works. He can’t give financial advice, and he won’t invent a figure — if it isn’t there, he’ll say so.
What earnr doesn’t do
- We are not a bank and we don’t hold your money. Your cashback balance is a balance with earnr, not a deposit.
- We don’t lend, and there is no credit involved.
- We don’t give financial, legal or tax advice.
- We never ask for your card number, PIN, password or banking login.
