Terms of business
These terms are a first published version and are under legal review.
Version 1.0 · Last updated: 10 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you, an earnr member, and Boshhh Group Limited — registered in England and Wales, company number 16711710, at 253 Monton Road, Eccles, Manchester M30 9PS. earnr is our service. By creating an account or using earnr, you accept these terms.
Who can join
You must be 18 or over, resident in the UK, and hold a UK bank account in your own name. One account per person. Everything you tell us has to be true and kept up to date — the account is yours alone and you can’t pass it to anyone else.
Your account and sign-in codes
You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time code, sent by SMS or WhatsApp. Anyone with your phone can sign in as you, so keep it secure and never share a code — we will never ask you for one. Tell us straight away if your number changes or your phone is lost. We may suspend or close an account we believe is being misused, shared, or used fraudulently.
How cashback works
- Cashback is earned only on eligible purchases made after you turn cashback on and connect a bank account. Spending before that is not eligible, however it appears in the app.
- We identify eligible purchases from your transaction data, and confirm them with the merchant, cashback provider or affiliate network. Confirmation isn’t instant and isn’t always given.
- Cashback is pending until the retailer settles the purchase — roughly 30 days — and becomes available once it has.
- Cashback can be reduced or reversed if an order is refunded, cancelled, returned, unpaid or found to be fraudulent, including after it has become available.
- Offers, rates and participating retailers change. What applies is whatever is shown in the app at the time of your purchase.
Your share
When you buy from a participating retailer, earnr receives a commission from the merchant or the cashback provider. Your cashback is a share of that commission — it isn’t a discount from the retailer and it isn’t paid by us out of nothing. The share you get is shown on each offer, so you can see what you’ll earn before you spend.
Getting paid
You can withdraw available cashback once you have at least £5. Money is sent by Faster Payments to a UK bank account in your own name, usually landing within minutes. We may hold or refuse a payout while we check a transaction, verify your identity, or where cashback has been reversed.
What earnr is not
- We are not a bank. We don’t take deposits, and your cashback balance is money owed to you under these terms, not a deposit — it isn’t protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
- We don’t lend and we don’t offer credit.
- We don’t give financial, legal or tax advice. Earni can tell you what your account shows and how earnr works, and nothing he says is advice.
- We are not the retailer. Anything you buy is a contract between you and them, and so is anything that goes wrong with it.
Open Banking consent
Connecting a bank is done through an FCA-authorised Open Banking provider. Access is read-only: we can see your transactions, we cannot move money, and we never see your banking login. Consent lasts 90 days at a time and we’ll ask you to renew it before it runs out. You can withdraw it at any time, with your bank or with us — but without it we can’t see new spending, so no new cashback will be tracked.
WhatsApp and SMS
We use SMS and WhatsApp for sign-in codes, service messages and conversations with Earni. Your network’s message and data rates apply. You can stop messages at any time by replying STOP or telling us — bear in mind that sign-in codes are how you get into your account.
Using earnr properly
Use earnr as a member, for your own everyday spending. Don’t make purchases solely to generate cashback that you then cancel or return, don’t use anyone else’s bank account or identity, don’t try to interfere with the service or extract data from it, and don’t use the assistant to abuse or mislead. If you do, we may withhold cashback, suspend the account or close it.
If something goes wrong
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law — including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Beyond that, and because earnr is a free service, our total liability to you is limited to the cashback properly due to you at the time. We aren’t liable for a retailer’s goods or service, for an offer being withdrawn, or for a bank, Open Banking or messaging provider being unavailable.
Closing your account
You can close your account at any time by telling us. We’ll pay out any available cashback of £5 or more; pending cashback that hasn’t settled may be lost when the account closes. We may close your account by giving you reasonable notice, or immediately where we reasonably suspect fraud or a serious breach of these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms — for example as the service develops or the law changes. We’ll give you notice in the app, and the version and date at the top of this page will change. If you don’t accept a change, you can close your account.
Complaints, contact and law
If something isn’t right, tell us: help@boshhhgroup.com or 0161 505 0879. We’ll look into it and come back to you. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction — if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings there.
